What is Postmaster in POSTGRESQL and it's uses?.

Check the below 2 screen shots. You will understand about the postmaster. This is a old name, later this name was replaced with Postgres.

1. What is Postmaster?.




2. Is still (current version of postgresql is 12) postmaster available in postgresql?.
Ans: No, this feature was renamed as Postgres from version 9 (i am guessing this, about the version). Check the highlighted text in below image.

pgAgent   pgAgent is a job scheduler for PostgreSQL which may be managed using pgAdmin. Prior to pgAdmin v1.9, pgAgent shipped as part of pgAdmin. From pgAdmin v1.9 onwards, pgAgent is shipped as a separate application. Please note that this is not at all working with PG Admin4. No help in internet. Hence, ignore this option.
